Gabion mattresses are made with 8x10 meshes and form free draining structures. They are used for lining long section; the standard units are 100 ft (30 m) long.
Reno mattresses are used as a revetment to prevent erosion. Reno mattresses are made of 6x8 meshes. They are filled with small rocks than the gabion mattresses. The units are generally smaller than the gabion mattresses. They can be used to form an apron for scour protection with other Maccaferri products. |
