MacTex® HSW is a high strength woven geotextile made from polyester fiber widely used in construction as a separation and reinforcing layer. The geotextiles are resistant to ultraviolet degradation and chemical environments normally found in soils.
MacTex® HSW geotextiles, made from woven polyester, provide high strength at low strain and are ideal for reinforcement applications such as:
- Base reinforcement of embankments over soft foundations. The textile can reduce differential settlements of the embankment.
- Over voids in areas prone to subsidence due to mine workings or wash out.
